The 56th AD provides the following information and opinions as a service to visitors. We endorse CAGOP and LAGOP endorsed candidates and positions on propositions. Where there is a difference between these two, we support the LAGOP endorsements.

The California Republican Party believes one of the most fundamental duties of government is to keep its citizens safe by enforcing laws in a fair, just, and efficient manner. We believe the state, not the federal government, should govern, and so should set the criminal statutes and protect Californians’ quality of life.
